As part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historical visit to Israel, DynamaticTechnologies Ltd (DTL), Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI), and Elcom Systems announced their strategic cooperation, to jointly address the needs of the Indian UAV market, under the “Make in India” initiative of the Indian Government.
This announcement followed the signing of a cooperation agreement by the companies, regarding production, assembly and support of UAVs in India. According to Dynamatic Technologies, UAVs represent truly ‘disruptive technology’, which is going to exploit the advances made in information and communication sciences and have the potential to change our military’s ability to wage full spectrum warfare, without endangering troops on the front line.
This Strategic Agreement is an important milestone for the vision of Government of India, towards ‘Make in India’ initiative and modernisation of the Indian Military, thus, bringing together the world’s largest producer of Unmanned Systems and India’s premier Aerospace and Defence Manufacturing Company, to produce the world’s most advanced Unmanned Aerial Systems in India.
This will not only involve creating a state of the art UAV manufacturing facility in India but also creating a ‘high tech training centre’, which will create the requisite talent pool, for this growing industry.
