Mr. Amirdzhanov worked for 14 years with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, dealing with issues of confidence and security building measures, arms control and other delicate matters of multi- and bilateral diplomacy and was posted in Finland and Austria. Since 1998, he worked with leading European and Russian companies, gaining extensive experience in sales, business development and corporate governance. He was also a consultant for the International Financial Corporation (IFC), Sumitomo Corporation, Stora-Enso, M-Real, Sappi and top Russian and Finnish publishing and printing companies.

Mr. Amirdzhanov graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
