Mr. Kirkpatrick has 15 years' private equity experience. Currently, he has oversight of SUN Mining interests in Russia and the FSU. Geographically, his role spans India, Russia, Central Asia and other countries of interest where SUN sources high value opportunistic projects. He leads a team of experienced professionals to assess, acquire and manage mining properties. Mr. Kirkpatrick has been employed with SUN for over 12 years, and has participated in numerous investment projects held by SUN in various sectors of the Russian economy. Prior to that, he was employed as an attache at the US Embassy in Moscow.

Mr. Kirkpatrick received a diploma of Jurisprudence from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed the Senior Executives Program at Anderson Business School of the University of California, Los Angeles.
