Mr. Romanov has been with SUN since 1995, and has been actively involved in SUN's investment activities, particularly in new business development and acquisitions. Mr. Romanov was a Senior Vice President, and subsequently Director of SUN Capital Partners, SUN's private equity fund for Russia and the FSU. Currently his primary focus at SUN is new business development and overseeing SUN's investments in the Energy sector. Prior to SUN, Mr. Romanov was in government service, including nearly 13 years with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where his first diplomatic posting was in India.

Mr. Romanov graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and completed a Master's program in International Relations and World Economy at the UN University for Peace. He attended the Executive Development Program at the Wharton School of Business, Philadelphia.
