Ms. Kumar has over 15 years of experience in derivatives, capital markets and structured finance. She worked at Merrill Lynch heading the Risk Advisory business within the Investment Bank responsible for creating bespoke financial solutions using equity, credit, foreign exchange, fixed income derivatives and structured products. Ms. Kumar's primary client focus has been real estate and energy/power companies. She executed some of the largest foreign exchange transactions for clients around strategic acquisitions and divestitures, and executed some of the first credit derivatives in the marketplace. Ms. Kumar has published extensively including 'Credit Derivatives, a Primer', and 'Corporate Applications of Equity and Credit Derivatives. Prior to working at Merrill Lynch, she was a member of the derivatives marketing group of Chase Manhattan.

She has an MBA in Finance and International Business from Kellogg and a BA in Mathematics and Japanese from Cornell University.
