Mr. Soni has over 35 years' experience in the Oil and Gas industry working for Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited of India. His last assignment was Director of Operations responsible for the oil and gas production of the Company all over India. During his tenure as Director of Operations he was assigned the additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director of Gas Authority of India Limited. Mr. Soni was on the board of Petronet LNG, a Company that negotiated the first LNG Contract in India and also successfully set up the first LNG Terminal in the country. Since 2003, Mr. Soni has been working with SUN Capital Partners Consultants Limited in Moscow as Director (Business Development).

He received his Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering from Moscow University.
