Mr. Gilbert has more than 35 years' experience in private equity investing, investment banking and law. Founder and Managing General Partner of Soros Capital L.P. principal venture capital and leveraged transaction entity of the Quantum Group of Funds. A Principal Advisor to Quantum Industrial Holdings Ltd. Previously Managing Director of Commonwealth Capital Partners, L.P. and Managing General Partner of Chemical Venture Partners (now J. P. Morgan Capital Partners), which he founded. Mr. Gilbert also held positions at E.F. Hutton International, Wertheim & Co. and Morgan Stanley & Co. Mr. Gilbert is Chairman of the Board of Gilbert Global Equity Partners, L.P.; Senior Advisor to ContiGroup and Vice Chairman of the Management Board of MidOcean Partners. Mr Gilbert is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, The Russell 20-20, The Woodrow Wilson International Centre for Scholars, Trustee of the New York University Medical School, the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania, and a member of the Board of Governors of the Lauder Institute.
